Safety in Mexico and Guatemala -Destination Wedding
I know since the press has been reporting beheadings and such in Mexico and Guatemala that many have been worried about having a destination wedding. I've lived and worked as a photographer in Mexico and Guatemala and the violence is mostly contained to certain areas along the borders. There haven't been any reports of thugs penetrating touristy areas and the touristy areas are well-patrolled by foreigners who are living there.
